I'm trying to find a lamp for a TARDIS top. Here are two possibilities I've come across so far: www.dhr.nl/index.php?productID=162&node=2&subcategoryID= www.hunterkenroy.com/files/694LowResImage.jpg The website for the latter is just awful, but if you search for 90953FL you'll find the information. I found the lamp itself for about US$60 at a local mega-jumbo-hardware-chain store. The glass appears to be about the right size, but I couldn't actually get my hands on it to be sure. The Den Haan lamp (the first link) is elegant, but I'm not sure how to order just the lens (I'm in a land-locked locale in the US, and have had trouble finding a local retailer that carries that brand). I'm looking for comments on these lenses. What do the experts think?

Experts ? us ? ha ha. No being serious for a moment i think the second lens looks fine. At the end of the day its YOUR tardis and if you are happy with it thats all that matters. Our "lens" isnt even a lens its a old gas lamp with a cooking oil bottle for a lens but it works, cheap too !

Since you've completed one you have more qualifications as an expert than I. Thanks for the feedback!

Not a problem, perhaps you could keep us posted as to how your build is progressing, maybe post some pictures here ? We are always very interested in other peoples builds.

I'm currently drawing up plans for the Newbery prop and am wondering about the step detail under the signboxes.Sometimes it looks like there are two steps sometimes none. The corner posts also look a little different. They look thicker from the doors(walls)to the out side of the post.Is this true.Basically any info(pics)regarding this prop would be very helpful.HELP!!!
